The Saudi Minister of Commerce meets with the Egyptian National Competitiveness Council in Cairo

Cairo, November 21, 2023,

Yesterday, His Excellency Dr. Majid Al-Qasabi, Saudi Minister of Commerce, and Dr. Iman Al-Mutairi, President of the National Competitiveness Center, met in Cairo with the Egyptian National Competitiveness Council (ENCC).

This meeting comes within the framework of continuing efforts to enhance bilateral cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Egypt, by discussing a group of important topics. The most prominent of these topics is cooperation between the Egyptian National Council for Competitiveness and its Saudi counterpart, the Saudi Competitiveness Council (NCC). During the meeting, ways of enhancing joint cooperation and exchanging experiences in the areas of competitiveness and investment were also discussed.

The two sides also discussed how to work to overcome the obstacles facing Saudi investment in Egypt, and increase the volume of Saudi investments in the Egyptian market. This comes in light of the increasing interest on both sides to open new horizons for economic cooperation and benefit from the opportunities available in both countries.

This important meeting comes at a time when Saudi-Egyptian relations are witnessing remarkable growth in various fields, especially economic ones. This meeting is seen as a strategic step to achieve greater rapprochement and effective economic cooperation between the two countries, which is beneficial for promoting economic growth and creating mutual investment opportunities.
