The 2025 edition of the Container Port Performance Index provides comparable operational evidence based on vessel time in port. Five Egyptian ports are represented. Port Said is the strongest-positioned Egyptian port in this edition. The wider five-port profile is uneven, indicating that national competitiveness gains require port-specific operating plans rather than a single undifferentiated response. CPPI benchmarks container-port performance using observed vessel time in port. The evidence can illuminate operational efficiency, but it does not by itself establish why performance changed. The 2020–2021 dual-ranking structure, the 2022–2023 aggregate-ranking structure, and the updated/restated series introduced in the 2024 trends edition must remain clearly separated.

- Target reliability, not rank alone: assess the variance and predictability of turnaround time alongside the average result.
- Approve a relevant peer set: compare Egyptian ports with functionally similar MENA and trade-competitor ports, controlling for scale and operating profile.

The index is an operational, port-level measure. Composite results do not prove causality and are sensitive to the sample, port-call mix and methodology. Cross-year claims must identify whether they use edition-native results or the separately restated series. No national Egypt score or rank has been created in this ENCC reading.
