Mr.EMAD A. HASSAN
A clean energy professional with over 35 years of global experiences in developing energy efficiency and renewable
energy markets in 10 countries around the world. He combines the skills of managing and implementing multidisciplined development programs with the ability to develop relevant sustainable policies. He held various
postions in the energy field in the U.S. over a span of 13 years prior to serving as an international consutant where
he provided professional support to a wide range of organizaitons and institutions with a focus on energy efficnecy
market development including the USAID, UNDP, GIZ, EBRD and the World Bank.
In Egypt, he served as an energy advisor to Egypt’s Supreme Energy Council (2009-2012), a green tourism advisor
to the Minister of Tourism (2014-2019), and now he is currently leading a consulting team to implement the EBRD’s
Green Economy Financing Facility (GEFF) in Egypt - a green financing facility introduced to support Egypt’s transition
towards greener economy. He He holds a Masters degree in Architecture & Urban Planning from UCLA.
